Tribe7 Blackwing7 T-Tuned Lens Set

The Blackwing7 lenses from Tribe7 are hand-crafted in Germany using a proprietary tuning process that allows each set of lenses to be individually tuned and configured.

Created as a special collaboration between Academy Award Nominated DP Bradford Young and Neil Fanthom, these lenses were built from the ground up for large format cinematography.

Blackwing7 lenses exhibit unique optical properties that come from controlled distortion. They contain a rare, 14-bladed iris for ultra-smooth bokeh, with a remarkably fast aperture of T1.9 across the entire set for optimal low-light performance and shallow depth of field.

These lenses are tuned in the “Transient” variant, which provides a smoother image with slightly more focus falloff and flaring.
