Insurance Opt-Out

For orders with a total replacement value of under $15,000 only.

All rental customers are required to either provide a proof of insurance in the form of a COI (Certificate of Insurance) or request an insurance waiver from us.

Orders with a total replacement value of under $15,000 are eligible for our insurance waiver program. If your order has a total replacement of above $15,000, you will be required to provide a COI to us after checkout.

Insurance waivers are free.

Insurance waivers are not a form of insurance. The insurance waiver waives our requirement for you to carry insurance. You will still take full responsibility of the equipment in your possession. If there are any damages, loss, or theft to any of the equipment or accessories, you are obligated to pay 100% of the repair costs.

You will be asked to provide a credit card authorization for security deposit for the rented items on pickup, authorized as a hold on your credit card on file.

This waiver does not cover any damage to vehicles. Any damage incurred while transporting rented equipment is not included in the waiver program and will be your responsibility.

FAQs

Can I add more than one insurance waiver to the cart?

No. You are limited to one insurance waiver per order. Insurance waivers are only allowed to be added to orders with a total replacement value of under $15,000.

Does the insurance waiver cover all the items in my order?

Insurance waivers apply only to rental items. If the items in your order add up to a total replacement value of under $15,000, then yes. The insurance waiver does not cover any motor vehicles used in the transport of rental equipment. You are still required to carry insurance for any motor vehicles rented from us, or used in the transport of our equipment.

What is a COI?

A COI is a certificate of insurance. This is a document issued in an ACCORD format by your insurance company. It lists the total value of equipment covered in the event of damage or theft. It also lists your deductible (the amount you owe to your insurance company) in the event of a loss. All COIs must list DFI Creative Solutions Corp. as an additional insured and loss payee.

What if the equipment is damaged, lost or stolen?

Insurance waivers do not cover any damage, theft or loss. If the equipment is lost or stolen, you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the equipment and any included accessories. If the equipment is damaged, you will be liable for the repair cost of the equipment and any included accessories.

What is a “total replacement value”?

The total replacement value is the replacement value of all of your rented equipment added together. You can find the replacement value of each individual item shown in the item’s description.
